Biles left legendary runner LeSean McCoy

Cut to Dim Cut.

Buffalo Bills are going through the LeSean McCoy era on Saturday.

NFL Network informant Ian Rapoport reported that the team is releasing the veteran runner.

ESPN was the first to report.

McCoy spent the last four seasons at Buffalo in Philadelphia after six seasons.

The movement is no surprise from the point of view of age, production, and compensation. The 31-year-old McCoy is coming off the worst statistical season of his 10-year career. In 14 games in 2018, Bench produced 5 yards, 3.2 yards per carrying, averaging 28 yards (all his career minimum) and just three touchdowns on the ground. With a $ 6.175 million base salary, worth $ 9.05 million against Bill's salary cap, McCoy's costs exceeded his production.

According to Over the Cap, Buffalo would save $ 6.425 million by getting rid of RB.

This step is a surprise if you have only heard the experienced music runner bill repeatedly. Coach Sean McDermott and general manager Brandon Bayne often suggested McCoy would be the leader in a mob committee and he still had a lot to do.

Finally, the eye test passed the ear test.

McCoy has not been efficient in recent seasons and certainly has not been compared with his contract. Biles also imported Future Hall of the Future members Frank Gore and cheater Devin Singletary in the third round. Singletree was affected during and presently at camp, and McCoy should benefit greatly from the bite.

Bill should not lose momentum with the backfield from Gore and Singletree, and perhaps T.J. Yeldon if she survived the cut.

For McCoy, he should get a landing spot with a squad needing an RB (hello, Houston?), but he would not earn nearly as much salary as he is scheduled to win at Buffalo.
