Jason Momoa says he can't do 'Aquaman' 2 because of TMT creation

Aquaman star Jason Momoa is using the film's sequel to protest the creation of a telescope thirty meters above the Mauna Kea volcano.

Jason Momoa has taken to Instagram to protest the construction of the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) on Mauna Kea volcano in Hawaii and doing so could threaten Aquaman 2's production. In the post, Jason Momoa told Warner Bros.:

The construction of the thirty-meter telescope is the cause of a great protest to protect the kingdom of the gods in the volcano of Mauna. This is not the first time the Aquaman star has talked about the composition, as she has been a great defender against it from the beginning. Recently, Black Adam actor Dwayne Johnson appeared against the production. While this is a very serious issue, we should not take the Aquaman actor very seriously because he has signed the contract.

Earlier last month, unheard photos with Jason Momoa, while on vacation with his family, appeared online. The images prompted some to say that the Aquaman actor had lost his superhero Kaya and, instead, called him "Dad's body".

While others sharply defended Jason Momoa against body trolling trolls, it appears that the Aquaman star was not bothered by the comments. Earlier this week, TMZ asked Jason Momoa about his recent birthday celebrations, stating that Guinness beer-flavored cakes would not do much to calm the troll. Asked if he was offended by the "father's father" comments, Jason Momoa simply replied: "Of course not."

David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick is writing a sequel to Aquaman by Jason Momoa. She is scheduled to hit theaters on 16 December 2022. Jason Momoa will play his title role again, but fans can get the first Aquaman film in all home media formats.
