Many people have died in two separate incidents of firing in the city of Hanau, Germany.

Eight people have died in the shootout and at least five have been injured. This information has been obtained from local media reports in Germany.

According to reports, an unknown assailant opened fire at Shisha Bar in the city. There has also been information about firing on another glass in Keseltad area near Hanau.

Police told the BBC that the gunmen opened fire at 10 pm local time.

Security of both the areas is being done with the help of police officers and helicopters.

In the first shootout of local German broadcaster Hessenshou, three people were killed and in the second five people were killed.

According to the German newspaper Bild, officials say that the suspected attackers have fled after firing.
