Corona virus: Trump warns - If India did not send medicine, it will have to face revenge for America

Amidst the growing threat of Corona virus in the US, US President Donald Trump has demanded to send hydroxychloroquine medicine from India in a very strict tone. Trump on Tuesday warned that if India does not export an important drug to fight the corona virus, "it may have to face the revenge of America."

Recently, Trump had asked for a hydroxychloroquine drug from India. However, export of this medicine has been banned from India. This drug is used in the treatment of malaria. It is used on patients to fight the corona virus, so that their immune system can be strengthened.

Directorate General of Foreign Trade had issued notification

Explain that the government has banned the export of hydroxychloroquine, a drug used in the treatment of malaria, and units in Special Economic Zones (SEZs) have also been included in the ban.

The government had imposed this ban in India due to the possibility of worsening of the situation due to Corona virus infection, so that there is no shortage of essential medicines in the country. The Directorate General of Foreign Trade said in a notification, 'Hydroxychloroquine and other drugs made from it will no longer be exported from SEZ, even if it has already been approved or paid for. Exports will be banned without any exemption.

Trump requested

In the case of customs rules, SEZs are considered as foreign bodies. For this reason, orders prohibiting exports are not generally applicable to SEZs. The government had announced a ban on March 25 on the export of hydroxychloroquine to ensure availability in the domestic market.

Recently, Trump spoke to Modi through video conferencing. During this time, Trump requested Modi to supply hydroxychloroquine tablets. With this, he said that I can also take this medicine, I will have to talk to doctors about it.
