HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah - F-35A Lightning II Air Force Demonstration and 388th Fighter Wing will conduct training flyovers in the state of Utah, Thursday, April 30 from 1 p.m.

The "Utah Overpass" is a salute to all who are at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19, as well as those who "level the curve" of the virus.

The training will be led by the F-35A demonstration team pilot, Captain Kristin "BYO" Wolff, with three F-35 pilots from the 388th Fighter Wing ready for battle.

"This flyover is our way of congratulating those who keep our home safe during these unique moments," said Captain Wolfe. "To give a small token of our thanks to all those who are doing their part to fight the virus, and to say 'Thank you for your sacrifice and service', so that all those who were affected by this epidemic Yes, they know that we are standing behind you. "

The flyby is scheduled to fly from Hill Air Force Base, and will continue south through the southern state border from Salt Lake City near St. George, before Park City and Logan. Continue south through Ogden back to base. A flight map is attached along an approximate route. The flight path was coordinated with Utah state officials and members of the Federal Aviation Administration. Flight plans and flight schedules are subject to change without notice.

Utah residents should inspect the overpass with the safety of their home quarantine and refrain from traveling to see the overpass. Citizens should also maintain social distance and avoid large gatherings.

The F-35, America's fifth-generation newest fighter, offers game-changing stealth, interoperability, and lethality. It can enter dangerous airspace that other aircraft cannot destroy high-threat targets, both on the air and on land.
