Marshmello and Halsey set out to reassure the new song "Be Kind", which explores issues of trust and confirms it's okay to be vulnerable with someone you love. The couple released the lyric video for the song, which features uplifting emotions as well as great animations.

"I want to believe, I want to believe, that you don't have a bad bone in your body," sings Halsey. "But the hurt on your ego drives you crazy." In the chorus, she asks, "I don't know why you hide from that person / And you close your eyes with that person / You make a mistake and you lie to the person you love / When you know you can cry to that person / Always trust him / You can be good for the person you love. "

Halsey recently starred during the Jersey 4 Jersey COVID-19 Relief Benefit Telethon and will contribute a retrospective kick-off speech for a new podcast, titled Speech for the Class of 2020. The singer released his third album Manic in January. The LP features special announcements by Alanis Morissette, BTS's Suga and Dominic Fike, each with special gaps. She recently appeared in Ballerini's third self-titled album from country singer Kelsa Ballerini's single "The Other Girl".

Meanwhile, Marshmello released a pair of singles earlier this year, including Giggs and St. JNH's south side "Been Through This Before". Marshmello released his third album Joytime III last July and featured a wide variety of artists including Ken Brown and Younubald for various independent singles.
