Maryland police arrested a man and alleged that they say was a cyclist seen in a viral video posting a teenage girl about George Floyd in Bethesda outside Washington, DC.

The suspect, identified as Anthony Brennan III, 60, of Kensington, Maryland, allegedly forcibly grabbed passengers from the juvenile's hands, deploying people in a group around the Capitol Crescent Trail. At 12:45 pm Monday, FOX 5 reported from Washington.

Police say the suspect pushed his bike towards a male member of the group, causing it to fall to the ground.

After being located by authorities, Brennan turned himself in on Friday night and now faces assault charges.

The 30-second video was shot by a teenager who was friends with the girl and went to the Maryland-National Capital Park Police. He then posted pictures of the suspect and said that he is wanted for the assault. The video was viewed over 19 million times.

Early Friday, the police posted a tweet thanking the community for their support. "Keep sending advice and we'll follow it," the tweet said.

Police say community members sent hundreds of suggestions to police this week.

"Mr. Brennan and his legal counsel were contacted earlier today. Consent was given to search his house, while members of the state's attorney office and park police were present. The items of stolen value were seized .The police said in a statement, "An arrest warrant was later obtained for Mr. Brennan and volunteered to be a detective later this afternoon."

Brennan was charged with three counts of second-degree assault.

The boy and the girl were posting passengers on the bike path stating, "A man was seduced by the police, what are you doing?" He was with a third teenager, another girl.

In the video, the girl, who police say was attacked, is screaming, "Get away from me!" As the man catches his frills.

The child is heard saying, "Hey, leave him alone." The video then shows the man picking up his bike and running towards the boy with him.

The boy told FOX 5 that the man was "yelling at us, saying we were" inciting riots and calling us "devils".
He told the station that the suspect also hit him.
