Police announced that actor Thomas Jefferson Baird was shot dead in Atlanta
Actor Thomas Jefferson Bird was killed by a fatal bullet in Georgia Saturday morning, according to Atlanta Police Department spokesman Anthony Grant.

Officers in southwest Atlanta responded to an injured person's call. Police said that when the officers arrived, Bird was found unresponsive.

Police said Bird, 70, died at the scene after being hit by several bullets in the back.
