READ: White House doctor says Trump is taking remdesivir and 'he's doing well'

His doctor announced Friday evening that President Donald Trump is receiving treatment at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for Covid-19, and has begun receiving anti-viral medication.

In a note shared by White House Press Secretary Kylie McNani, White House Naval Physician Comdor. Dr. Sean Connelly writes that Trump is doing "very well".

This afternoon, in consultation with specialists from Walter Reed University and Johns Hopkins University, I recommend that the president be transferred to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for further monitoring. I'm glad to report this evening that the President is doing very well. He does not require any supplemental oxygen, but in consultation with specialists we have chosen to start Remdesivir treatment. He has completed his first dose while relaxing comfortably.
