United States: The Senate Approves $ 1.9 Billion Covid-19 Relief Package
After a long debate, the US Senate on Saturday approved a $ 1.9 billion package for Covid-19 relief. President Joe Biden and his Democratic Party have described victory as critical because the country needs it to weather the pandemic and stabilize the deteriorating economy.

After an all-night debate over the amendments and the Republican Party rejected nearly all of the amendments, the weary senators nearly passed the bill, voting on the party's line. The vote was 50 in favor and 49 in opposition.

After final approval by Parliament, the bill will be sent to President Biden for signature next week. "We can tell American citizens that help is on the way," said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Scammer, referring to the public's desire to restore normalcy.

He said, "Our duty now is to get the country out of this storm and move it to normal life."
