China is making J-20 fighter jets deadly
Amid increasing tension in Ladakh and the South China Sea, China is now preparing to upgrade its J-20 fighter jet. An increasing number of Rafale fighter jets in the Indian Air Force are also blowing China's senses. The Chinese Air Force will now install 2D thrust vectoring nozzles for its J-20 stealth fighter jet engines. Installing this nozzle will reduce the heat signature of the J-20 aircraft and increase the engine power. So far only the US uses 2D vector nozzles in their F-22 receivers.

China's official media Global Times has said that, according to information received from a pilot flying the J-20, all its aircraft will soon be equipped with this technology. The use of this vector nozzle is claimed to enhance the stealth capabilities of the J-20. However, many aviation experts have already raised questions about the stealth strength of this Chinese fighter jet.

J-20 fighter jets from China still use circular nozzles. Because of this, enemy radars can easily detect heat emitted from aircraft engines. None of these aircraft yet has the ability to control the thrust vector. Quoting Chinese military aviation expert Fu Quinsao, Global Times wrote that vigorous vector control would give the J-20 the ability to maneuver excessively in the air and increase the stealth power of radar.

In 2018, China flew its J-10 fighter jets with 3D thrust vector control during an air show in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province. Since then it was believed that China could use this technology on the J-20 in the coming days. The biggest difference between 3D thrust vector control and 2D thrust vector control is their size. The 3D nozzle is circular while the 2D nozzle is rectangular. Of these two, 2D thrust vector control has more radar and infrared stealth capabilities.

The Chinese J-20 fighter jet has two Russian Saturn AL-31FM2 engines. Together these two engines provide the aircraft a thrust of up to 145 kilograms of Newton. Since, the J-20 is heavy and also has a very large aircraft size, its endurance requirements are not met with the help of these engines. Therefore, China is energetically preparing to replace it. China is working on a plan to replace it with a more powerful WS-15 engine in the future. China has so far produced a total of 50 J-20 fighter jets. Some of these belong to the China Army Combat Air Technical Development Agency, while the rest are on the India and South China Sea front. Now all J-20 jets which China is using their own developed J-10 engines. China believes that its J-20 will prove powerful against Rafael on all fronts.

China's J-20 fighter jet is known as the Mighty Dragon. This fighter aircraft can fly at twice the speed of sound. It is built by the Chengdu Aerospace Corporation of China. Two engines have been fitted to provide greater resistance to the aircraft. It has only one pilot seat. China claims that this fighter jet can be flown in all seasons. China even claims that this fighter is equipped with jet stealth technology, which no radar can sustain. Let us tell you that this is the third operational fighter jet in the world. The first two F-22 receivers and the F-35 are stationed in the US Air Force.

The J-20 has an original range of 1,200 km, which can be extended up to 2,700 km. The J-20s are 20.3 meters long by 20.3 meters. Its height is between 4.45 meters and wingspan of 12.88–13.50 meters. The J-20 has an empty weight of 19,391 kg, while it is capable of flying with a total weight of 37,013 kg, including fuel and weapons. This fighter jet can fly up to an altitude of 66,000 feet. China claims that it can carry out any operation in an area of ​​2000 kilometers. The aircraft can carry up to 11,340 kg of jet fuel.
