Shooting in a Russian school, 9 including 7 children died
9 people were killed, including 7 children, in a shootout at a school in the Russian city of Kazan. Following this incident, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered a review of gun possession regulations.

With this, more than 20 people have been injured in this incident, including many more children.

According to officials, two men fired indiscriminately and a 19-year-old was arrested.

The attack took place 820 km east of Moscow.

There was also an explosion in the building and reports said that the second attacker died on the fourth floor.

Kazan is the capital of the Muslim Republic of Tatarstan.

Heavy security forces and emergency vehicles are stationed in front of Kazan school number 175. In pictures shared on social media, children are seen jumping from the school window and taking out the injured.

Tatarstan President Rustam Milikhanoff told reporters outside the school that it was a disaster and 12 children and 4 teenagers were receiving treatment at the hospital.

He said: "The terrorist has been arrested. He is 19 years old. He has a registered weapon."

In a video on social media, a teenager was caught on the ground outside the building.
