when Russia angry over proposal to deploy US air defense in Ukraine
Russia has reacted strongly to the proposal to deploy US air defense in Ukraine. The Russian Foreign Ministry has said that Ukraine's move is provocative. A few months ago the tension between Russia and Ukraine reached its peak. Then Russia had deployed about 1 lakh soldiers on the border of Crimea and Ukraine. However, due to international pressure, Russia later announced the withdrawal of its army.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday that Kiev's statements about the possibility of deploying US air defense systems in Ukraine are provocative and do not serve the interests of its people. Minister for the Unification of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, Oleksey Reznikov, has proposed the deployment of US air defense systems in his territory. He said his country was concerned about Russia's alleged intentions to transfer nuclear weapons to Crimea.

Speaking to Russia One channel, Zakharova said, "I think this statement is proof of what we have been talking about for many years and what the Kiev regime was trying to refute." He further said that there is evidence of Ukraine's provocative policy. He said that such statements by Ukrainian officials serve the interests of Western countries who are advocating to destabilize the situation in Ukraine.

Ukraine is a member of the US-led NATO military group. In such a situation, America can deploy its air defense system in its country if it wants. So far, the US has not reacted to the Ukraine minister's statement. Nevertheless, it is believed that the US may deploy the Patriot Defense System.

America's Patriot Advanced Capability-3 missiles are one of the best defense systems in the world. This missile defense system is capable of shooting down enemy ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and combat ships in a jiffy. This all-weather missile is manufactured by Lockheed Martin.

Patriot Advanced Capability - 3 missiles are currently in force throughout the United States, Germany, Greece, Israel, Japan, Kuwait, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Poland, Sweden, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Romania, Spain and Taiwan. The Patriot missile system was deployed by the US military during the 2003 Iraq War. This missile defense system deployed in Kuwait destroyed many enemy missiles in the air.
